We want to have a safe, affordable space for doing hands-on work for chemistry and biology. If you don’t work in a lab or university, it can be difficult to access these resources. We hope to have a dedicated lab room, shared glassware, and a fume hood. We have a modest monthly fee for residents to use the lab space. This pays for improvements to the space, insurance, PPE, and equipment.
Our goal isn’t to make a profit or incubate your startup, but to build our skills together, make real friendships that last, hold events, hang out, and make personal and professional connections alike. Our vibe is not like a hacker house or a startup incubator, but a hostel with more space. You come here to fall in love with San Francisco, with your life, with the world, and with the people in here. We’re here to build shit, and above all we’re here to make a life for ourselves.
